A Final Note...

After making our Let Them Be Kids announcement on February 1st 2011 the Asphodel-Norwood Playground and Parks Committee has been in a whirlwind of emotions (happiness being number one of course)! Our first fundraising event on Family Day (Feb 21) brought more than 300 people in attendance to enjoy games, crafts and fun. From this beginning, all of our events were well received and the commitment from the community to help make this possible has been indescribable.

Through the hard times you must stay focused, remember why you’re here and "Create a Community that Can". Trust the process and everything that comes with it. Norwood has a population of 1300 residents and we raised over $205,000 in 5 months (not kidding). If we can do it, anyone can.

Thank You Let Them Be Kids, for helping us make a positive impact on our community, allowing us to believe in ourselves to inspire hope in others…. Oh, and let’s not forget the beautiful new playground we now have for the kids.

Thanks everyone!
