Gas Purchases to help the Park Fund!!

Thomas from the Norwood Esso(County Road 45) is donating 1cent from every litre of gas purchased for the month of March to the Park. It would be great to see some extra gas purchases made there to support the park. Remember to THANK Thomas for his generosity!!!!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR A SUCCESSFUL FAMILY DAY!!!!
The day was filled with crafts, games, horse sleigh rides, contests, food/beverages and much more!
Thank you to everyone who came out for the amazing day!
Also, thank you to all the volunteers, supporters and donators. The Playground and Parks Committee couldn't have asked for a better turn out!

9:00-10:00 a.m. - FREE Public Skating

10:00-11:00 a.m. - Norwood District Minor Sports Hockey Game        

11:00-12 noon - Norwood District Figure Skating Club Presentation

12:00-1:00 p.m. - Hockey Shoot Out- Come and show off your shooting skills for Prizes!

1:00-1:30 p.m. - Chuck-a-puck

1:30-3:00 p.m. - FREE Public Skating

All Day Events

11:00-1:00 - Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides (weather permitting)

Dotmocracy survey - YOU (adults and children) get the opportunity to choose which pieces of equipment you would like to see in the new park!!

safe new playground for our families!!

Volleyball Tournament

The committee will be hosting a Volleyball Tournament for a fundraising event. It will take place Saturday March 5,2011 @ Norwood District High School from 9am-5pm. We are looking for 12 teams of 6 (mixed, must have at least 2 ladies on the court). Teams are guaranteed 3 games. Lunch will be available for purchase.

Our Big Announcement!

Well, today was the BIG announcement day!

Both elementary schools were informed of the great news, that THEY, the children were getting a brand new park, designed by them!

We also handed out information regarding the Let Them Be Kids Helping Hands award and information regarding the Family Day Carnival.
